Printed out all my copies for the Xeric (thanks A and J for the hookup). As I sat reading my copy of all 4 issues, I was very sad. Some of the lettering is shoddy, backgrounds not as detailed as I’d like, and overall quality of craftsmanship leaves something to be desired. I know I could do better now.
But that’s the point, isn’t it? I can do better now, because of the effort and willpower I put into these pages. I could draw circles around me from the first issue, and I could tell a much better yarn than the guy who wrote it a few years ago, but that guy had to start somewhere, and me here in the present day thanks him for starting the damn thing in the first place.
The few people I’ve let look at it so far has really liked the colors, and thought I was being way to hard on myself with the art. No one has read it yet, but they have their review copies now to enjoy at their leisure. I’m sure I’m being way too hard on myself, but up to this point, nobody had seen it and just propped me up on the accomplishment of doing this all alone by myself. Now that I know people are going to read it; I’m a basketcase!
