I’ve been fixing some pages that have a color bug on them, weird patches of out-of-sync color as if the files had been corrupted. Anyway, they’re done now and ready to be added to Unbound’s copies. When they sent me proofs of the eBooks earlier this month, I noticed the color problems. I thought I had fixed them.
Well, now there fixed for good. Also on the docket was a page from issue 3. I added some dialogue to help set up the reader for an event later in that issue. It was too abrupt before; readers were kind of shocked because it came out of nowhere and they thought they had misread something earlier. I think the dialogue sets it up in the reader’s head now, so it is still a surprise, but doesn’t take you out of the story.
Next up are Issue 4 changes. The problems here are when we shoot back up to the present day, where we start at the beginning of Issue 1. The transition has been fooling people, so I think I’m going to make a collage of the current nine panel page with some panels from the first issue to bring it all back for the reader.
