Blogarama - Part Two

As I mentioned yesterday, I’m blogging at work now. But that’s not the only new blog I’m publishing right now!

This week I started The Right Back Alley, a blog devoted to my favorite comics, Sin City. I’d been thinking about doing a comic-specific blog for some time, but I didn’t really want to do general news coverage or reviews. There are too many other people out there doing it better, and I already cover what I’m interested in comic industry-wise here on the Parlor.

Then I started to get really wrapped up in Squidoo. Specifically, I latched onto Seth Godin’s theory that everyone is an expert in something. So that post a few weeks back that sounded really depressing? It was actually really exciting! That’s when I dipped my mental chocolate in my peanut butter and figured that I should not only create a Sin City lens on Squidoo, but start a Sin City blog also.

It’s pretty basic so far, but instead of trying to build the entire thing overnight, I decided to cut my expectations in half and build it from there- to build a half-site, so to speak. The gurus from 37 Signals really evangalise this approach, and I have to agree that I’ve seen better results personally by doing this.
