Comics Start Soon

I’ve been taking a breather since my teaching stint ended last week. Between work and school, I’m pretty exhausted. I’ve been running steady between 60 – 80 hours a week over the last few months and have only taken one day off since early November. As such, my posting here has diminished, I have mailed stacked up all over, and I have a load of repairs to make to the house.

Once I have a couple of weeks to get my affairs in order, I have several comics I want to get started on, one immediately. I think I’ve finally figured out how I would do a webcomic strip. I’m thinking color, two times a week to start. I’d also like to try doing a longform graphic novel online once a week (probably updating on Sundays). The only issue with that is which longform story to start first.

Looking back through the archives of the Parlor, I found a sketch of the strip idea from 2 years ago. I really need to move faster on these things…

I’m not sure which ideas you are diving into first, but I for one can’t wait to see the world of hank the boozy elephant unfold! (I love his elephant jeans) With all the obstacles facing young elephants these days (poachers, global warming, puberty, curfews), it is no wonder he is hitting the bottle. Notice I’m assuming that he is a jeans-wearing teen elephant. These are all things I need clarification on. Ready?….Begin.

Hey Max,
I was just thinking about you! How the heck are you doing?
Last Aug. I got married and moved to Az. (No, not ‘The Chuckster’!) He turned out to be the total looser that everyone told me he was for years. I really miss everyone there in OMaha. Please take a moment and let me know how you and Nicky are doing. Hope all is well with you!
