Cover Up

After some discussion, Ben and I both felt that while nudity is a-okay in both our books, we should avoid a potential legal situation by putting some lingerie on my original illustration, Pinup Poetics, for his Wallace Stevens postcard series. Omaha is a weird town for obscenity issues, and it just wasn’t an issue we wanted to pop up. There is nothing wrong with using lingerie, I feel, since it is still something you would see in a pinup and is true to the inspiration of the piece.

After some difficult research (surfing lingerie websites is sooo tough), I managed to come up with this pleasing little number for my pinup girl to wear. Enjoy!

While this is only a section of the illustration, I’ll put the full piece up in my portfolio once the postcards are made.
