Damn Filthy Infection

That’s right – 2005 is the year of the sickness for me. I’m under the weather again, although this little bug is a blast from the past. That’s right – it is the same damn sinus infection that had me laid out not more than a few weeks ago. It is back.

How in this day of modern medical science is this possible, you ask?

A printing error.

My prescription stated that I was to take three capsules twice a day of antibiotics a day, and that I was to receive ten days worth. On the bottle, it was listed as one capsule twice a day.

So… the antibiotics never really nuked it out of my system, and I was left taking these pills all month because it said I should finish out the prescription. No wonder I kept wondering why I had all these pills. Had I not been in the fever grip, I probably would have comprehended better what the instructions were, but at that point it was “pills good, make better.”

With a couple of smoky bar nights this weekend and Free Comic Book Day, I pushed myself right back to where I started.
