It is that time again – Free Comic Book Day is going on this Saturday, May 3rd. I will again be at Krypton Comics in Omaha drawing free sketches along with a host of others, including:
Important: For everyone who has visited me in the past, Krypton Comics has moved locations and is now next to the Westwood Cinema Theater off of West Center Street. Here’s a Google Map for the new location.
Krypton Comics
2819 S. 125th Ave
Suite 261
Omaha, NE 68144

Hope to see you all there!
We were all at dinner last night, and the artists were sharing which was their favorite sketch of the day. We all tended to go with the ones that were for people like you and Lennon — the ones where people really wanted a sketch but either found the line or circumstances to be impenetrable and were not able to get to us until the very end of the day.
I’m very happy to say that that last sketch for Lennon was by far my favorite sketch of the day, and I’m thrilled that you were able to make it. That last sketch really symbolizes why I put myself through the whole ordeal, why all of us artists kill ourselves for free sketches once a year: we want to make fans happy.
I can’t wait to see you and Lennon again for the next Free Comic Book Day in a year, and I’m very touched by the words you left here. Thank you!

hi max! we met you yesterday (the 3rd for free comic book day) @ krypton comics in omaha. you drew a picture of robin from teen titans go for our son lennon. i just wanted to say thank you again for making that drawing for him. i know you had been drawing all day and were ready to be done. we appreciate that you did that one last pic for our little one. he has not stopped talking about it since. we picked up a frame for it today, and are going to hang it in his room on the wall this summer (we are redecorating with a superhero & comics theme). again, thank you for your time and for being so courteous to us. you are a great artist, and we hope to see you again next year!
