This topic has been done to death online, so I’m not really going to go into a play-by-play detail on how much I now swing on Gmail’s nuts. It’s good; it’s really good. If you have a Hotmail, Yahoo or another webmail account as your only or primary email account, I would consider switching. It’s kind of pointless, however, if you have webmail access to your domain-branded POP3 account. Why confuse people with two different addresses?
Where I have found it to be really useful, however, is for all of my newsletters and discussion lists. Everything gets labeled, organized into conversations, and archived for me to log on and sift through at my leisure (Thanks to Shawn for idea).
I subscribre to a whole mess of them…

Apple’s Web-Dev List
Web Design-L
ComicArts Association, which is more an updates/announcements sort of deal.
Warren Ellis’ Bad Signal
My local AIGA
And of course, a private list for the Shocktraumanauts.

Great idea! Although I wonder what newsletters you subscribe to. I’ve been looking for a few good e-newsletters to sign up with, but alas, I have found only one; Lockergnome.
