Heard on the Street
If I hadn’t informed you as such, I’ve been working with a writer on a cool noir story (as seen in these samples here, here, here, here, oh and here). I’ve heard back that him hitting the pavement at San Diego has attracted two great publishers, although one of them is interested in our project. The other is attracted to one of said writer’s other projects with another artist. Great news for him, either way, and I love when people I know do well, even if it isn’t good for me, necessarily.
That would be butter on my muffin though if our project is well received, too!
Thanks! That last panel is magic, and I can safely say it is one of the best ones I’ve done ever. That means quite a bit to hear someone tell me that.
I’m hoping hard that this project gets picked up for several reasons. One, the project is fantastic and well written. Two, I want those pages I did to go somewhere, and three, I would love to work for this publisher. They do great comics, and I’d like to see how the experience would go with someone else sweating the money!
