Image Zombie

We’ve had more problems this week with our image server, a never-ending saga for me and my team. The last three days have been spent going through our staging sites and writing down broken images’ product numbers, then checking it against our relational database. It isn’t hard work, but it isn’t particularly interesting either. In the end, it was unavoidable, as most of the products were associated to images with antiquated naming conventions. We’ve neared the end, with only a handful of images just outright missing which we will add to the site today. Everything should go live tomorrow without a hitch. Some of us haven’t moved, nor gone to the bathroom in a considerable amount of time, almost as if we were on an extended road trip. My face hurt when I tried to smile yesterday because it hadn’t moved at all except to blink. We’re all so bleary-eyed that any time spent away from a computer monitor would be considered heaven-sent.

Perhaps a staring at some comics would cure me of this? Yes, yes I think so.
