My New Happy Place
Do you ever listen to a certain song or watch a certain movie when you are feeling blue? Something that will cheer you up instantly? I’ve had several of these in the past, and now I have a new one thanks to the release of Ren & Stimpy – The Lost Episodes DVD

I’ve seen it about 40 times now, and I crack up hysterically every single time. I even do the dance for the dogs.
The dogs (and the wife) think it’s a little strange…

Speaking of Roadhouse, did I tell you Aaron and I met Terry (the henchman in RH that tells Sam Elliot “Stay out of this DAD”) Funk at the wrestling thing in Newton? It was awesome. He was a strange combination of corny/folksy and scary. Laura has been cool with me geeking out over it. Its like the comic nerd in me getting to meet Sgt. There are certain movies that I simply MUST watch for at least a little bit when I see them on TV; The Good,The Bad, and The Ugly, Heat, Cool Hand Luke.
Also, any movie in the Swayze trifecta (Red Dawn, The Outsiders, and Roadhouse) fit into this. No matter what is going on, for at least a few moments these films OWN me, cheering me up. So I know how you feel.
