Seagull Fury
I’ve been drawing all day. When I haven’t been drawing, I’ve been looking at reference for shots. Do you know how hard it is not to laugh/cry with frustration when you search for “seagull flock” on Google Images only to find many shots of Mike Score or Mike Score wannabe fans to sort through? All I wanted is an actual shot of what a flock of seagulls might look like.
So I had to vent:

I know the feeling, Max. I’ve spent hours on-line searching for just the right reference, thinking that if only I could find that ONE, elusive image, it would all fall into place. I’ve been unable to draw all weekend, for no apparent reason other than I can’t get myself motivated. It sucks ass. BTW, nice seagull drawing. Seriously.
You owe me a sketch or something.
Who the hell searches for the phrase “a flock of seagulls NOT the band?” I searched on “segull flock” and thought, maybe, that would be sufficently generic yet detailed enough for relevant results. And I got a load of good ones, just not the right one (as Brook suggests).
I digress. You are obviously more in tune with proper search queries and I will grant your boon because you will probably be my boss one day. If you bring donuts, don’t go cheap.

I’ve been stuck like this for months on occasion. The best thing for me to do is just draw something even if it blows.
BTW, nice seagull drawing. Seriously.

i hate you, too, Mr. Seagull. you are an ass to me whenever i go to the beach for sun and enjoyment. you and your drunk cousin, the pigeon, why don’t you both get a job.
