    Shocking Personality Test

I remember seeing this movie a decade ago my senior year of high school, weirdly on the 7th of October (today). There was a whole row of us in the Dundee Theater, all bursting at the seems on that cool autumn night. This was probably the most exciting movie experience I’ve ever had. The audience was a blast, applauding and cheering at all the good parts in unision, chilling out for the quiet moments too.

This probably comes as no surprise to anyone who knows me:

What Pulp Fiction Character Are You?

Tired of being underappreciated and manipulated by powerful "others," you fight back. Though possesssing a cold, violent outside, you have a soft, scentimental inside. You love your partner, you cherish family heirlooms, and you want nothing more than to be geniunely happy—but you don’t mind having to kill a couple of nimrods who happen to clutter your path.

    Here’s scary for you … i am Jules :

You don’t tolerate shit. The .45 you carry in you pocket is scary, but your words are the real threat, especially when you decide to get Biblical. Try to take it easy, but maintain that edge of yours, which tends to keep people wary in your presence. Take the What Pulp Fiction Character Are You? quiz.

The first time i saw Pulp Fiction wasn’t until it was available on VHS. I was on a trip to Des Moines and a friend of mine had just purchased it. I remember watching it, but as i was tired i was slowly falling asleep … UNTIL the first time one of the storylines jumped backwards in sequence (can’t remember which one that was) and suddenly it totally electrified me. I was hooked and i reqwatched it the next day. Terrific movie.

    I’m Mia…cool.

You’re known for starting trouble. But you play it cool. Besides, no one can resist your sharp eyes and quick wit. They eat from the palm of your hand. Though you have weaknesses, which may have deadly consequences, you, are resurrected, as if the gods themselves breathed immortality into you.

    OMGWTF? Marsellus?

Your name alone strikes fear into others; but maybe, just maybe, there’s a little vulnerability and weakness beneath that stoic, fierce exterior of yours.

    E – totally.

The only one here so far that has surprised me is Fredd – and even then, I got used to it pretty quickly.

Yup. I’m Lance. At first I was like “What?” but it sort of makes sense, since he was so in love with his wife…

Your inner child screams for cartoons and sugary cereals, but your adult tastes love the buzz of quality mind altering substances. Sooner or later, you’re going to have to grow up, at least a bit.

By the way, I’ll never forget that night at the Dundee. Best movie experience ever! You know what else? It was once again Homecoming tonight, as well. Like they say, “Deja vu, all over again.”

It couldn’t have been the same night because I actually went to Homecoming that year.

I’m way behind on this thread, but I also recall that evening of Oct 7 quite fondly. However, I no longer think that the movie is that great, mostly due to the fact that Tarantino is just plain unoriginal. Still, it was very memorable at the time and it was my favorite movie until I got into some film classes at UNL.
