The shot above is from our office Halloween party, with my co-worker Tone rocking the Mexican Luchadore mask.
After getting such encouragement last time I grew a mustache, I decided to grow another one for Halloween this year and go as Magnum PI. I think I look like Magnum’s white trash brother, but overall, not bad.
Again, the mustache appeals to a certain part of our culture. Some people didn’t like it, and others were insanely impressed and demanded I keep it. Those people are usually young men who can’t grow a mustache either from genetics or job/marriage concerns.
I did get some free drinks on Friday for keeping it that long. Saturday though, it was time to come off. There is talk of me participating in Cinco De Mustache this year…
As a guy who is constantly messing with his facial hair design, I tip my hat to you, sir! I’ll never flip you sh** about not keeping it; full-time facial hair isn’t for everybody. However, I suggest mixing it up each time you grow something out. In my time I’ve rocked a full beard and mustache combo, an Amish look, a creepy-biker-style ‘stache, and a rocking combo where the sideburns grew into a mustache ala Harley Race circa 1982. My vote is to see “The Riff” with a long Fu Manchu.

You are magnum… or perhaps the construction worker from the villiage people… well done sir!
