Sketch Lust

Have you ever done a sketch, and after done to a satisfactory amount of detail, you keep peeking at it the rest of the day? One that you’ll keep going back to while you are working on something else, lusting for time to go back and develop the ideas or the energy further? I had one of those sketches during lunch today, and I keep peeking back through my sketchbook to see it again. I almost don’t believe that I did the sketch because it is working so well.

Something like that gets your blood going. While I was writing a to-do list, I doodled another great little sketch that I cut out and pasted in my sketchbook, next to the aforementioned miracle sketch.

Now, it’s worse. I’m checking it out every five minutes or so, looking at both. Man, I can’t wait to get home today and flesh these ideas out.
