Step Back... and Watch Me Work!
After finishing up most of my other commitments, I was able to sit down and sketch my mouse out some more.
His name is Lorenzo Quick. The title of the post is a lyric from a James Brown song.
Lorenzo is the bomb.
That compliment could only be cooler if you called him “the sex bomb.” Thanks!
Mr. Brown influences me quite a bit, but this character and his story are so directly inspired by a James Brown song that it just makes me smile to draw him.
I wish I could dance like the Godfather of Soul. That would have been so cool with the ladies.
I was listening to the aforementioned James Brown song on my computer one day, and he started riling up the crowd. He was crooning that he hoped the building was going to hold because of all the soul coming on. At that point, my computer just eerily shutdown for no reason.
James had too much soul for my Mac.
That could be true! Did you see his arrest picture? It looks like he may have too much soul for New York’s power grids! :)
