Tonight We Dine in Hell

How to make Max happy on a Friday? Fresh donuts, and the trailer release of 300. Frank Miller’s 300. Go see the trailer now (or try this one).

Those that don’t know the story – 300 Spartans slowed down over a million-strong Persian army, giving the Athenians time to bring their navy down to stop the invasion. They basically saved democracy, killing an estimated 15 – 20 thousand Persians.

Frank Miller made a graphic novel out of the story. After the success of the Sin City film, it was only a matter of time before more of his work was made for the screen.

Yo! I saw this at Comic Con! It looks fan-tastic. It’s directed by the guy who did Dawn of the Dead (remake). When people asked him about his take on Frank’s 300, the guy “Well, we took the book, and filmed it. And when we had questions, we went back to the book.”

I am pleased so far.
