Can’t wait for my vacation to start on Saturday. The wife and I are going to a cabin in Wisconsin. While everyone else drops a small fortune on hitting exotic locales, I go to the Land o’ Cheese and Pabst Blue Ribbon. It’s about as no-frills as you can get, but I had a wonderfully relaxing time up there last year.
I’ve been pushing myself too hard the last few weeks, and it is starting to catch up to me. You can tell when I’m busy from the lack of posting around here. It isn’t that I can’t find the time; I’m good at making time. No, I just find myself so scattered that I have a hard time coming up with a topic to post about.
Again, I’m organizing the trip with Backpack, which is perfect for this sort of task.
Here’s a cool tip for you, Bronson – you can make multiple lists with some little formatting tricks. For instance, I made three items named:
* To-Do
* Buy
* Pack
I bolded each of those by surrounding them with asterisks (example: ∗To-Do∗). Then I start a new item to go under one of those lists with this tag → which produces this arrow in HTML: →
So, your list tree can look like this:
To-Do
→ Haircut
Buy
→ Bug Spray
Pack
→ Underwear
This tip is on the Backpack weblog along with a bunch of other good information.
(glancing at pencil and moleskin)
To-Do
-> learn how to make lists on p.c.
-> learn why i would want to
It doesn’t work for everyone – if your Moleskine is working out for you, keep at it. I like having multiple lists in multiple places, so I won’t forget. It works for me. Especially since I’m online and in front of a computer at least 12 hours out of the day in multiple locations.
The other neat thing with Backpack is that you can store images and share pages with other people.
Max,
We at the forest service hope you are doing well. A bear attack in Wisconsin is a freak incident, and it is lucky your wife had such great kick boxing skills and bravery to take on the bear and scare it off with only her bravery and a can of hair spray. The doctor said you should get the feeling back in your lower legs and groin after the surgery scars heal.
Best Wishes from the State of Wisconsin.

I took your advice and used Backpack to organize the vacation I am taking with Andrea, her sister, and my brother-in-law. I liked how you could e-mail an idea to the site and it would post it. Very helpful.
