From the NaNoWriMo Congratulations page:
Wow. You’ve really done it this time, writer. Where the vast majority of National Novel Writing Month participants abandoned ship at some point in the journey, you bravely persevered, continuing your literary quest in the face of ridiculously long odds.
It’s an amazing accomplishment, and we’re proud of you for seeing it through.
Final word count, 50,114 words. One hundred and eighty-five pages. I’ve added the Winner’s graphic over to the left.
My eyes are burning. My fingertips are slightly numb. I have to go sleep for a month.
The title of my novel is Hard Squints.
UPDATE! Kenneth of EyeHeartZombies.com looks to have also crossed the finish line at 50,070 words (according to his NaNoWriMo User Page). This is significant because as of Sunday, I believe, he was hovering around the 24,000 word count. That’s right, he wrote 26,000 words in 2 days! Just goes to show, it is never too late. Kenneth and I were on iChat many nights while writing our novels. What a herculean effort! Congratulations, Kenneth!
Thanks, Max!
I did finish. Around 11:30 p.m. last night (the 30th) I typed the 50,070th word and ended the novel. I guess I could have had two more if I had added “The End” but…well, I didn’t.
Anyway, it’ll be up on my web site soon. Probably next week or so.
Thanks for all the support, yo.
Max,
Congratulations! And I hope to see at least some of the fruit of your labors, no matter what you have to say about it.
Hope to see you and your special lady around Christmastime.

Congrats, buddy. I’m super-proud of you, and more than a little jealous. Can’t wait to see it. Let me know if you’re looking for an editor.
