Word Count Consumption

When I got the call for drinks with old friends back in town last night, I had to turn them down. I have become a slave to the word count. By the end of today, I need to have 40,000 words done for NaNoWriMo. My current word count is at 38,358. The word count needs to go up incrementally everyday by 1667 words to have 50,000 words by the 30th. Early indicators suggest that I will actually accomplish this.

This has been harder than I thought it would be. I look forward to doing nothing for the month of December.

For those interested in reading it (of which there are quite a few, surprisingly), I am thinking of distributing a PDF for you to laugh at.

I don’t know about the rest of the WriMo writers out there, but I’m thinking short stories are the way to go now.
