In 2003, I helped OrientalTrading.com transition from a traditional table-based layout to a lean CSS and web standards driven site while it moved to a different application environment. After the site was finished in early 2003, I started serving as the Web Art Supervisor, providing layouts and design for both the Development and Marketing areas of the E-Commerce Department with my team of designers. Since the initial redesign, web-only orders have gone up to 50% of all incoming orders, and page weight was lowered by a third.

In late 2005, we began the process of realigning the design, usability, and functionality of the site to better serve our customers and emerging business sub-brands. The new site went live in May 2006. Overall sales have increased by 5% in the first two months of the launch. Visit the site!
