Vago - The Mariachi EP
With songs ranging in theme from marachi players to comic book super-hero sidekicks, local Omaha band Vago contacted me to put together the design and illustration for their first EP.
The Mariachi EP was sketched out by hand, then scanned and inked in Adobe Illustrator, where I also put a layer of base color down. From there I brought the illustration into Adobe Photoshop to add depth and texture. The end result fit Vago well: fun and traditional with a dash of low-brow culture thrown in for good measure.
