Quick Step is about a mouse named Lorenzo Quick, and boy, this kid can dance! Unfortunately, there is another great dancer at school, Jonny B, who has his eyes set on Sandra to take to the Spring Fling. And well, Sandra seems to have her eyes set on Lorenzo. The heart of Sandra is the prize once Jonny challenges Lorenzo to a good ol’ dance-off! But Lorenzo may have other ideas...
Quick Step will be released in webcomic format online on June 2, 2005, and will be updated weekly every Thursday until December (26 weeks).

This will probably get old, because I seem to do this every week, but six weeks! I’ve made it six weeks now; that’s six pages going strong. I can’t take all the credit for hitting every update so far though. The response from all of the readers has spurred me on a great deal. Many of you think that this is some of my best work and have let me know it – it really helps set the bar for the coming week. Thanks!
This is the sort of page where I like to focus on one moment, or one panel specifically. Typically, I’ve treated one panel a bit better than the others. This time, however, I think I paid attention to all of them equally. One is supposed to stand out a bit more than the others, of course, but I’ve focused on not letting the others suffer because of it.
I’m also really keen on the dialogue on this page, especially Lorenzo’s reactions to his mother’s questions. It was pleasant surprise to read back over the page (“I actually wrote this? Sweet.”). I may get this dang writin’ thang down yet!
